AV Installation Technician - Snapshot
The audiovisual Installation Technician plays an essential role in successfully executing audiovisual system installations. As a key member of the team, the technician will possess first-rate technical skills and passion. Daily activities include installation of video projectors, flat screen displays, wire pulling, microphones, speakers, and wire terminations, including soldering. The installation technician will make a positive impact through efficiency and accuracy, while effectively communicating with project managers, foreman, and other stakeholders.
Skills AV Installation Technicians Must Have:
Strong technical and troubleshooting skills
A high level of technical aptitude in order to perform audiovisual installations
The ability to quickly adapt to changing situations and remain focused
Excellent communication skills with the ability to multi-task and provide exceptional customer service
Self-motivated and committed to delivering high-quality projects on time and on budget
The ability to work effectively as a team member
A valid drivers license and reliable transportation
Preferred, but not required
Professional certifications, such as CTS and/or CTS-I
Background in networking, control systems, and audio/video conferencing
Strong video, audio control systems, IT and/or networking experience is a plus
An Associate of Arts degree or certification in electronics, engineering or a similar field
