Control systems only work when they are built into the whole system.

An effective AV control system is really the layer that ties everything else together — the audio, the displays, the shades, even electric tinting glass — into one interface. That's why we build the control layer in from the start, alongside audio, video, and building automation, so you have a streamlined source for overseeing every element of your AV equipment and setup.

  • Once a system is live, our service department keeps it running.
  • Support includes firmware updates, repairs, and maintenance reports.

Almost every AV company buys and sells the same TV and the same speaker at roughly the same price. So cost is usually not a value — it's our service, our customer service.

AV control systems tailored to Ann Arbor businesses

We design and program the AV control systems that sit behind the scenes in conference room AV systems, classrooms, auditoriums, and boardrooms all across Ann Arbor and surrounding areas. If you've ever pressed a single button on a wall panel and watched the lights dim, the screen drop, and the video call start automatically, that's a control system doing its job, and doing it well means nobody in the room ever has to think about it.

We've been building these systems out of our Ann Arbor facility for over six decades, and we still run everything in-house: engineering, programming, installation, and the service calls that come after. Whether the room is a personal office or a full auditorium, our goal is always the same: take everything that's supposed to work together and make it work together, without asking the person running the meeting to learn anything new.

Experience the ease of streamlined AV control

Crestron, QSC, Extron, you name it, we work with it. But what really separates us from the rest of the pack is that behind any of those AV platforms are our in-house certified programmers who write every user interface from scratch, never off a template. That matters because two rooms rarely need the exact same thing: a boardroom with automated shades and electric tinting glass needs different logic than what a school needs for its classroom AV systems.

We've built control systems for conference rooms, training facilities, auditoriums, funeral homes, municipal meeting spaces, and any other client you can think of, all while keeping the functionality and appearance of the space in mind. That means that all the AV equipment that actually does the work — amplifiers, switchers, processors — is seamlessly installed behind the scenes. The end user only interacts with a touch panel, and the panel only shows what that room actually needs.

Building and supporting AV systems all throughout Southeastern Michigan

We work out of our Ann Arbor facility and cover a service area that runs all throughout Southeastern Michigan and beyond, which puts Detroit and Lansing solidly inside our normal territory. A large share of our control system work over the years has been on the University of Michigan campus, where we've built custom AV systems for lecture halls, research auditoriums, and training rooms, designing and installing each system with the specific space and performance goals in mind.

We're a single point of contact for all your AV needs, which matters for your control system because programming and support work best when the same team that designed the interface can get back into a building quickly if something needs adjusting. We're not routing a service call to a technician three states away. The same people who wrote the program are close enough to walk back into your space and fix the problem themselves.

Superior AV guidance every step of the way

A control system is one of the pieces of an AV install that keeps needing attention long after the last cable is pulled. Firmware updates, added devices, and staff turnover always means that someone new has to learn the panel.

Every AV control system installation we perform includes a one-year warranty, and our AV service & support team offers maintenance contracts that go beyond the occasional check-in to make sure firmware stays current and everything still talks to everything else. We can also take over control systems that another integrator installed and then stopped supporting, giving you the AV support you need regardless of who designed your system.

If there's one thing we'd want you to take away, it's that an AV control system is only as good as the thought that goes into it before installation. If you're weighing what an AV control system should look like, we're happy to walk through with you and give you custom solutions tailored to your property and budget.

FAQS

Questions we get about AV control systems.

Either works, and we install both. We usually recommend a wired panel because it's always in the room and always charged, though laptops or tablets make sense for spaces where control needs to move around.

We're primarily a Crestron and QSC house, and we also work in Extron. Every interface is written in-house by one of our four certified programmers, built around how the room is actually used.

Design typically runs one to two weeks and is free, no matter the size of the project. Installation timelines depend on scope, from a single room to a multi-building rollout.

Every installation includes a one-year warranty, and we offer maintenance contracts for ongoing checks and firmware updates. We also take over systems another integrator installed.

Both. We regularly take over control systems that another company installed and stopped supporting, and we can usually work within the existing hardware where it makes sense.
